Dr. Tony Marín serves as the Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs at New Mexico State University where he provides leadership to the Student Success Center, Campus Tutoring Services, Office of Experiential Learning, Center for Academic Advising and Student Support, Study Abroad, National Student Exchange, Passport Acceptance Facility, Title IV TRIO Programs, and numerous educational opportunity programs that foster student success and social mobility. These units provide academic support services including learning assistance/study skills, peer mentoring/tutoring, financial wellness, graduate school preparation, academic advising and co-curricular services such as internships and cooperative education, experiential and service learning, leadership enhancement and career development. Tony has served as a Principal Investigator/Co-Principal Investigator and Director/Co- Director of numerous federal, state, institutional and private grants and contracts. To date, his grant writing efforts have secured over $30 million dollars for NMSU based educational opportunity, career development and financial wellness programs for NMSU students and Southern New Mexico youth. Tony is a member of the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education, Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities, the Society for the Psychological Study of Culture, Ethnicity and Race-Division 45 of the American Psychological Association and the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education.
