Board of Directors Member at Large Elections

Member at Large Nominations to the AAHHE Board of Directors are now Open! 

Nominations are open through April 1, 2026

The American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education is seeking nominations for one member-at-large positions to serve on the Board of Directors at the Early Career and Graduate Student member levels. Self-nominations are welcomed. Board positions are limited to individuals who are members in good standing

Graduate student candidates must be in good academic standing with their institutions and must be currently enrolled in a program towards a terminal degree. Faculty/Administrator candidates must be a faculty member or administrator for at least seven years at a higher education institution.

Nominations will close on April 1, 2026.  Members-at-large will be elected by the voting membership in April 2026 and results will be announced in mid- May 2026.  The Board of Directors will welcome the members at large for the Early Career and Graduate Student Member at Large positions at their June 2026 meeting.

All AAHHE members are eligible for nomination. Please submit your nominations!

Nominations start date: February 5, 2026
Nominations close date: April 1, 2026

Interested candidates will need to complete the following steps:

• Submit a copy of curriculum vitae. 
• Prepare and submit a Board Candidate Personal Statement (max. 500 words). The following writing prompts should be included in the statement: I am interested in becoming an AAHHE Board member because…Given the AAHHE’s mission, I offer the following skillset(s). 
• Complete the 2026 AAHHE Board of Directors Member at Large Nomination Form. Enter your log-in information if you are a returned user; if this is the first time you’ve visited the application platform, the system will prompt you to create an account. Candidates will have an opportunity to upload their curriculum vitae and personal statement at the end of the 2026 AAHHE Board of Directors Member at Large Nomination Form.
